I read about dosas on another food blog I visit regularly, Vancouver Slop: read his review on the House of Dosas – his pictures make the dosas look much bigger than mine (the paper dosa).
You will be AMAZED when you see this in-person and you will wonder, “how do I eat this thing?” I’ve never had a dosa before, so I was very excited to eat at the House of Dosas. If you would like to try this Pakistani delight, go on Monday when all dosas on the menu are only $5.99. They are regularly about $10 each.
A dosa is a thin crispy crepe that is made from rice and lentils, which is great for people who have allergies to wheat or gluten. You can order it filled with any kind of meat, vegetable, or seafood curry on the menu. It is served with a little side of soup – you can either eat that separately or dip your dosa in it. They appear to have very little filling, due to the size of the dosa, but it was surprisingly very filling.
