I am beginning to understand why BC license plates say, “Beautiful British Columbia.” I am always blown away by scenery at White Rock, which is about 45 minutes away from Vancouver. Although there are always so many people walking the boardwalk and parking is hard to find, the atmosphere is always relaxing. You will feel like you are in a different city, perhaps somewhere in California. People love the wide range of ice cream flavours offered by the many stores or they stop for a drink on the patios. The White Rock Boathouse restaurant also has a roof top patio, which is perfect for the sunset. The area is also famous for collector cars brought back to life. The air is fresh and the people and tourists are mellow – plus, yes there is a White Rock on the beach!

gorgeous pics!!
I can see you have already come to White Rock! People say it’s too far, but I think it’s worth it. Some nice restaurants too. The harbour is beautiful but too bad half the restaurants close in the Winter. They only need summer business I guess!
I didn’t know that restaurants are closed during the Winter. We usually go during the Spring and Summer months to walk on the boardwalk. The ICE CREAM is also spectacular.
